This workshop taught me the basics of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
DUTCH DESIGN WEEK
Visiting the DDW gave me a lot of inspiration and new ideas. Also, I gained insight in the role and presentation of the TU/e and Industrial Design on such a large event.
During the studio tour, I visited two companies: 250K and Mirabeau. It was inspiring to see how the study Industrial Design can lead to different professions in different sectors.
This workshop introduced the programming language html and css.
During the "Wervingsdagen", I further developed my Adobe skills, and in particular Illustrator. Linked to this workshop was also a description for an online learning environment. This I used extensively and it has resulted in an enormous progress regarding my Adobe skills.
LECTURE GRAPHIC DESIGN
A company called George & Harrison gave a lecture about graphic design. I loved their style and their approach for creating a complete identity for clients.
This workshop taught me how to create 3D models in Autodesk Fusion 360, which can then be printed using a 3D printer
First-years didn't have a project in the first semester, and therefore also no demo day. Nevertheless, I visited the demo day at the end of SEM1 to get an impression of what a demo day is like, and to get inspired by projects of B2, B3 and master students.
This workshop taught me the basics of photography, including how settings like aperture, shutter speed and exposure work.
